www.shagyaregistry.com{There is a new improved web site for this rare breed that is more then 200 years old. Shagya blood is found in many warmbloods and is one of the approved breeds used in Trakehner breeding. The registry also has a new book to recognize the Thoroughbred/Shagya cross called the ANGLO SHAGYA. RAMZES, a prominent warmblood often called the "Stallion of the century" was an ANGLO SHAGYA. The purebred Shagya is a rare breed but it's popularity is on the rise, as the numbers increase. They are very versatile and perform in jumping, dressage, endurance and many other disciplines. You will love their quiet temperament. The breed is larger with more substance then the purebred Arabian. Purebreds are used to refresh, but no more then 9 OX are allowed in the fourth generation. HUNGARES, a Shagya gelding was the winner of the WEG 100 mile endurance race! He was just one of the geldings in the herd at the Babolna Stud in Hungary}Lily Creek Stetson, approved Shagya stallion
