HI I am hoping someone can help. I have bought a registered Quarter horse mare but I can't find anything on her. She isn't listed with allbreedpedigree and I haven't found anything on the AQHA site. Any ideas how I can find out her pedigree? Her registered name is Sure Bet Sarina. thank you

Hi Lori! What information are you looking for? Owner history? Pedigree? Show record? I do see a horse named Sure Bet Sarina on the AQHA site; '97 buckskin mare. Is that her? I don't want to pull any reports without knowing what you're looking for but I'm happy to do it if you let me know what you need. ~Sara

Lori, If she is registered, you should have her registration papers which show her pedigree.

You are right Chris, I am just really curious I guess. I have her reg number but the papers havent been delivered yet. Sara, I am curious as to what lines she has? Cutting? Reining? I was told she has reining breeding. Do you have to have a membership to the site to get this info? When I register her in my name will I have to join AQHA? thanks for your help. Lori

Lori, will you post some photos of her? Is it you who was looking to buy a horse a month or two ago . . . and was it you who sent that photo of a sorrel mare at the dude ranch?

Lori, When you transfer her papers to your name you'll be asked if you want to join AQHA. You send the papers to AQHA, with a fee of course, and they mark them with your name as owner and send them back. You don't need to join AQHA really unless you are planning to show in AQHA shows. I haven't been on the site for awhile, but I'm pretty sure that members can do a certain number of searches for free every month but that there is an option for non-members to do searches for a fee. Good Luck, Chris

I will gladly post pictures as soon as I can. The mare is coming today but I may not take pictures until it warms up a bit, yesterday was still -20. I have been looking for a dressage horse for 1 and 1/2 yrs now. I don't remember posting a sorrel horse but geesh I hate to say it but I could have and I don't remember. Never mind how old I am... This mare is going to be my 'western' horse, I have been wanting to get an all around horse that was also quiet enough a friend could ride, and woohoo, she is a buckskin!

Lori, Chris is right. When you transfer the papers you can join the AQHA. It will cost you less to transfer the registration and you will get access to a lot of information that you wouldn't otherwise. A membership includes $10 worth of free reports each month. I'm attaching her four generation pedigree for you. If you want to go farther back than that before you get her papers and get them transfered you can do search on allbreedpedigree.com for some of her ancestors. Good luck!

Okay, I added her to all breed pedigree. There are a few names back there a ways that I'm sure you'll recognize. https://www.allbreedpedigree.com/sure+bet+sarina

No worries, Lori. There aren't many times I can be helpful on this site but these types of things I can do and I'm happy to do it!
