This trick was emailed to us from Andrea Richardson:

I have discovered a little trick to keep gauze on hard to bandage spots. After cleaning and treating the wound, I use non-toxic, water washable childrens white glue to edge a piece of gauze. I carefully put the bandage over the wound, and use masking tape to hold it in place for 10 minutes or so to let the glue dry. Once the glue is dry, I carefully remove the tape, and the gauze will usually stay in place for 24hrs until I need to treat the wound again. A little water is all that is needed to remove the old bandage. A cheap and easy way to keep flies out of wounds.

Thanks,
Andrea Richardson
