I am located in Omaha, Nebraska and read in our daily newspaper an article recommending the West Nile vaccine for all horses. I am not sure if this was coming from an state ag or extension office but the article provided no information on cases in our area.

Does anyone know if West Nile has been specifically diagnosed in our area? I tried to link to the map within the article but could not get through.

Also, based on what I have read so far the vaccine seems relatively safe but would appreciate any updates on any adverse reactions or other issues.
