Has anyone had any experience with Bird-X Sonic Repeller - the Quad Blaster for controlling birds in the barn. Birds have become a major pest problem in our barn and we would like to discourage their presence. This device sends out a high fidelity recording of actual distress cries of 8 species of birds and claims to drive the birds from the vicinity. We are concerned about the effect of this sound on animals - like horses of course and also cats. It can not be heard by humans.

Does anyone have any experience in this area? Or any other suggestions?

Hi Sheryl I tried the Bird X sonic repeller and it didn't work in my barn. I finally put a ceiling up and the birds had no where to perch. I love birds but they were messy not to mention unhealthy in the barn. Depending on the design of your barn and where they are perching some suggestions are chicken wire, boards with small tacks sticking up or apply something sticky to discourage them from perching. Good Luck Judi

My boss hung netting on sliding rods on her indoor arena doors. The ceiling in her barn & her cats seem to keep the birds out of there.
