DrO
I've looked but can't find information on hives being a possible reaction to a rhino shot. Eight days after i/n flu and rhino shot my gelding developed hive like bumps at his poll, belly and lower hip. We don't have bugs this time of year and I can't think of anything that is different in his feed or environment. Have you ever seen this type of reaction to rhino shot or i/n flu?

Hello Paula,
See the article » Equine Diseases » Skin Diseases » Hives, Wheals, and Urticaria in Horses. It will explain the condition. 8 days makes it possible it was not the vaccine, but I agree it is possible.
