I'm looking for a good, used manure spreader for under $800. Anyone aware of a particularly good site for farm equip? I've looked into about 20 different sites that came back when I did a general search w/ yahoo.

Alternately, has anyone made one from scratch or know if there are any available in kit form?

I'm just looking for reasonably priced alternatives.

I, too, am interested if anyone has made their own spreader. I have looked at both new and used and they are very pricey.

I recently told my husband (who is pretty handy) about my hair brained idea to fashion a spreader out of a manual grass cutter with some sort of box on top. He gave me a real funny look. Hey, whatever works. It doesn't have to be pretty!
