Dr. O, My daughter has a Morgan gelding that she events. As you know, Morgans are very easy keeps. He gets pretty chubby in the winter. What is the best way to feed him while he is competing? We have access to so-so quality grass hay and pasture. I have been feeding him a highly concentrated ration balance product - half pound per day, but highly fortified. Also, I have a warmblood 2 year old (already 16'3), does he still need higher protein levels at this age? Thanks

Nancy instead of starting with Performance Nutrition, start with Overview it will explain how to feed and there is a section and link in that article that addresses easy keepers. Once those articles are understood you can apply some of these principles.
