When my horse Blaze cut under his eyelid I had to try to think of a way to keep it clean & dry. Ready for this??? The best thing I found was a size 34 C bra. It fit the head nice. I cut a hole in one side so he could see out with his good eye. This gave a cleaner cover then a fly mask & stayed on better then the dust mask trick. LOL. don't LOL@me until yo have to try it. |

A great idea I'm going to remember! We once had a colt get injuries on both hind legs that were difficult to keep clean and fly free.We put a pair of boy's jeans over his back legs, one pant leg on each of his legs and held on with home made suspenders. Your mare together with him would have made quite a traffic stopping pair! |

Debby- Between raising a houseful of boys and a barnful of horses you learn to be inventive...and to appreciate a good idea when you see one, even if it is a bit odd! |
