I use a five-gallon bucket, the ones soap or paint come in, as a great portapotty in my horse trailer. I can use it in the tack room or inside the trailer itself and it's quite comfy. I keep water in the trailer to rinse it out after use. I also use the bucket upside down for a mounting block. That way I can leave it outside when I ride off and don't have to worry about someone taking it. My horses are trained to side up to it and will even come back to the bucket so I can dismount if need be. I would check the base of the bucket to see if it is strong enough to support your weight.
