We find we get a number of calendar freebies in the mail from various organizations.

Each year I select the one with the largest daily boxes and a spiral edge to keep in my tack trunk. This year's favorite has the month spread over 2 pages so there is plenty of room to make a note.

On it I annotate when I wormed, lesson and riding comments/thoughts/observations, shows, vet and farrier visits, etc.

Just recently, I used it to to reference when I noticed my mare's lameness and what I did about it. This served as some facts for the vet when I had him out.

If you are sharing a horse, this is a good way to annotate information between riders. And, if you are my age, is a great memory aid,

Take care.
