My arab gets a lot of stone bruises on his rear hoofs. They are white and I can see them - on the top side not the sole (he is shod).
any suggestions? We like to ride in the forest but there are rocks. He kind of drags those feet over them and causes bruises. He is not lame or sore - that I notice. However he was tender for the Farrier last week with them.
what can be done to prevent that and still ride on those beautiful forest trails? (bell boots?)
