I am switching to a 12% complete feed from alfalfa pellets because my mare simply won't eat the alfalfa. I am trying to supplement her hay. She was getting 2lbs alfalfa with 1/2c oil and a measured amount of mineral mix and 3/4 lb whole oats.
I am wondering if I could use the same formula with the complete feed? Should I discontinue the mineral mix?
Thanks

Without knowing what is in the complete feed and what is in your mineral mix it is impossible to say Lori, but we do have recommendations based on feed, type mineral mix, and even location at Care for Horses » Nutrition » Minerals and Nutrition.
