Hi Everyone,
I am looking to get the wheels turnin' with all of you equine-architecture enthusiasts. I have a run-in now that the two boys are fine in. However, I am acquiring a pony (because we all know that horses are like potato chips), and am concerned that the big boys won't let him into the run-in when he needs it. Like, I am picturing that in inclement weather, the two big guys will stand in "their" doorway, and I want to ensure that the little guy has a warm, dry spot. I am looking for an easy, cheap fix. Thanks for your brainpower!!
Here is a picture of the barn. Ignore the goofy rider in front!

Horses are so funny - I have a run in in the middle of the pasture (a barn at the end) - and had the same concerns - so we added on - the old lady still chooses to stand in front and get wet than go to the side and stay dry because she needs to see everyone and be with them. My little princess filly - at the first sign of a raindrop runs - RUNS - to the shelter - you can see her poke her head out and if a rain drop lands on it, back in she goes - it is the only time you see her away from the herd - the rest are out enjoying the rain. She loves to play in the water - just not on her head.
Could you add a canopy/awning to the front so they can all see each other?
Bet that little pony runs the show and your big guys are left wet and cold :-). Perhaps you can wait and see how it goes first and then fit to the program once you know what it is?

Very cute little barn. Kathy

Ditto to Kathy I would wait and see WHO needs a new shelter[and perhaps they share mine love that, they all have at least one box of their own but I have found 3 in one box and the rest of the boxes empty.]
