I have not had a young horse before. It appears the left incisor tooth next to her upper front tooth is growing crooked and beginning to crowd forward to her front tooth. Yet I am not certain whether young teeth look odd as they grow, or if this is a baby tooth yet to come out. How straight should a young horse's teeth look as they erupt? My vet will be out soon to do fall shots, I just didn't want to panic over a future dental problem if it is normal for young horses' teeth to look odd as they are developing. |

Welcome Edmond, They can look odd as they come in only to straighten out as the baby teeth are lost but occasionally do need help if the baby tooth is retained. DrO |
