If you have dried mud on your fly mask and don't have time to wash and dry it, take a stiff dandy brush (the one you use for getting mudd off your horse) and use it in a circular motion across the fly mask.

Sometimes the mudd isn't noticeable, but if you hold the mask up to your face, you will be surprised by the mudd and dirt that is in those teeny tiny holes. It comes out quickly with the stiff brush. I use this on a daily basis, then wash and dry when I have more time.
