Hi guys I thought I remembered when I was going through the debate whether to vaccinate Hank or not a few of you said you didn't because it wasn't endemic. Looks like it has re-emrged in Co and it seems I read about it in another state that hadn't had any for awhile...so a heads up!

I was very happy with the one I gave Hank...NO reaction, if you are considering vaccinating.

Hi Diane, my horses both got a Rabies vaccine last year in the fall and had no reaction to it. I do not know which brand they got. The horse that died of Rabies is actually in my county, so I will definitely have the horses vaccinated every year.

My ponies are all out in the pasture during the day and live in their runs under the lean-to at night. I feel strongly about vaccinating them against rabies. You just never know.

It is not just a matter of protecting your horses, but the humans that they come into contact with.
