My 5 yo Appendix mare has quite the sweet tooth. I've found she really likes stale cinnamon rolls with icing. I'm sure she would like the fresh ones too but I don't let her have those. She maybe gets one or two a month but she absolutely loves them. Also, she frequently tries to drink my husbands coca-cola, which we don't allow. All cups and cans must be supervised or she'll try to stick her lip into the cup so she doesn't spill it. Interestingly enough the stuff she's suppose to like, such as carrots, apples, etc.. she has no interest in. She's also a big fan of bread heels (the crust ends) and pretty much any other bread product. She also likes stale honey-combs (teenager has a tendency to not close or re-seal containers or boxes).

The other two want nothing to do with any of it.

I keep it to a minimum on all the bread treats, she gets them maybe once a week.

When I was a teen ager (I am 74) I would take my quarter horse to be in parades in other towns. I had to ride the horse along the roadside to get there. This was in New England with sandy roadsides and little traffic. I had no trailer. In those day Coke came in bottles. My horse loved the cola. I could put the neck of the bottle in the corner of his mouth and he would guzzle it. We shared it that way. He would not approve of today's cans!!

When I am in the US, I too love cinnamon rolls - we don't have any here - pity . Lucky you and your mare.
