We have acquired a 12 year Warmblood gelding, who is about 100 lbs. overweight. We use him for eventing, so he definitely needs to have enough food for energy. He gets 4 lbs. of Triple Crown Lite per day, with 3-4 flakes of Timothy/Orchard Grass Hay (not great quality). With all that being said - has anyone every used a muscle building supplement to help build muscle mass? I am assuming that like in humans the more muscle mass you have the more calories you burn. If anyone has used a product like this - which one? Any other recommendations to get him in shape would be appreciated. Thanks, Nancy |
