Wanted to know what people recommend .......or don't recommend to help keep my boys feet in the best shape over the long WET winters in the Pacific Northwest? They do have dry places to get out of the "muck" ,but more often than not they are slopping around in it. Makes the daily cleaning feel really useless!
Any ideas or comments would be appreciated!

Hello Ken,
I like hoof dressings that are primarily natural waxes. The idea is it keeps the moisture at bay better. What type feet do your horses have and what kind of problems have you had in the past?

Both of my horses feet are generally in good shape. Just trying to keep them that way in all the rain is an everyday battle!Just trying to find any ideas to keep them that way.
Of course thrush is always looking for a way to get in,and I am always trying to keep it out!
The horn on scooters hooves sometimes"peels".Would that be from excess moisture?
It also seems that the frog grows quite rapidly also. Especially in the winter. I assume that is from the extra moisture also?
He also has a vertical ridge that runs the length of the hoof.It is raised about 1/8 inch. Doesn't bother him...Just looks goofy.
Thanks for your time.

For the thrush I would use a formaldehyde based paint to apply to the sole and frogs only. Waxes on the walls. The verticle line probably represents a long time ago injury that caused a little distortion of the corium at the coronet and, as you have discovered, is little to worry about.
