I have a houdini horse - every time he got turned out with his blanket on, somehow the buckles would come undone. UNTIL I got a Rambo Wug. It is a WONDERFUL blanket and Horseware has done something really smart- they have a small rubber washer on each buckle tongue to stop it from floating around (and working its way loose). Well that works for one of four blankets I have for Bailey. For the others, I went to Home Depot and bought 10 small rubber washers, stacked five up on each buckle... and it works just as well. Houdini is... er... done.

At our barn we have a supply of castrating bands that we purchased at our feed supply store to accomplish the same result. |

How perceptive of you!! Perhaps we should start a list of alternative uses of them. Men would probably not be able to think of any. |
