My horse had his annual shots almost two weeks ago (Rhino, tetanus, flu, East & West encephalitis) and now seems mildly lethargic and is not eating well. A couple of days ago he didn't eat at all, but now he's starting to get his appetite back.
Could he have been affected by his shots that long after receiving them?

How long is almost two weeks ago? It does seem a little long for such a reaction but not out of the realm of possibility. As long as he is getting better....

He also had Potomac Fever and rabies vaccines with all the others on Friday, March 24. I rode him yesterday and he seemed fine - he's eating better now too. Do you think it's a good idea for him to get all of those shots at once? Should I split them up (in a particular order?)? I've also heard that the Rhino shot may not even be necessary. Is there a particular vaccine out of all of those that you would suspect would give him such a reaction? Thanks for your advice!

In the article on Vaccinations we have outlined the general characteristics of each of the injections, so you can study them to see how they apply. Usually we give EWEET, Flu Rhino, and Rabies at the same time. But we do not use The PHF vaccine in our practice. The article explains why.
