OK, I followed the schedule for two years, and now, in year three, have had negative fecals for 3 consecutive years -- taken sometimes in spring, sometimes in fall, always long after a deworming.

Last year I dewormed once with Ivermectin Gold (I think - it included tape) in the fall. This spring, the fecal was again negative.

I have two horses in a closed herd. My mare gets used in company, but turned out only at home, except for the rare clinic.

Can I stop deworming and just do annual fecals? Or should I continue with a once-a-year combo product?

Thanks,
Jerre

Wonderful Jerre,
We recommend you start deworming according to fecal results, see the schedule article's "What the Experts Recommend" for specific recommendations on instituting this program.
