Hello, First I would like to thank everyone who has answered questions regarding my one month old foal. This is my first foal and I seem to have endless concerns since I would like to provide her with the best care. Yesterday I checked her teeth. I noticed that she has a overbite. The upper teeth sit over the bottom teeth but there is no space..ie the upper and lower biting teeth are in full contact with each other. Is this alignment of the front biting teeth normal for a one month foal? I look forward to hearing from you. Julie D. |

Hello Julie, I cannot picture exactly what you are describing but slight changes in the relation of the teeth at this age are not significant, have your vet check them each time he is out to monitor for problems early. DrO |

Julie I know this is a couple of years down the track, but how did your foal's teeth turn out? I currently have a four month old foal with the same thing but there is a small space in between and I'm concerned that she's got an overshot jaw or parrot mouth. |
