I have just purchased a mini filly. She is 20in at the shoulder.
I have been warned that it is very easy to overfeed a mini so I am wondering...
Do the feeding rules for full size horses apply to minis?
I will use my weight tape tonight to estimate her weight.
Thanks

The feeding rules we outline in Overview of Feeding applies. Remember to assess and feed by condition scoring and not some idea of an ideal weight. It should be noted that mini's are usually very easy keepers and free access to good grass pasture will allow most to become obese.
