Late last fall I caught my yearling eating thistles. I took him off the pasture and took the weed eater out and cut them down.My question is this. I think there is a thistle caught in his throat, the only time he coughs, is when he is eating and you can hear him breathing. He is feeling good, just the cough and laboured breathing. What could I do for him?

Thankyou Lorrie

Hi Lorrie,

I would really doubt that a thistle would be caught in this throat after all this time. Sounds like your vet should take a look at him with maybe an edoscopic exam of the throat.
