Better information makes for healthier horses,
Horseadvice.com is where equine science and horse sense intersect.
Articles on parasties that inhabit the intestines of horses and equines. Most of these parasites are helminths which is the scientific word for worms. They are further broken down to with the round worms and strongyles called nematodes, the tapeworms called cestodes, and flukes which are trematodes. A notable exception is the bot which is a insect, an arthropod, with a parasitic larval form.

For specific information on dewormers (equine anthelminics), deworming horses, and deworming schedules see Dewormers and Managing Intestinal Parasites.
