I bought a filly a year ago who has a corneal flap. I had a pre-purchase done when I bought her and the attending vet said there is no apparent interference to her eyesight. The comment from the same vet is that who ever did the surgery did a great job and should have no concerns. My question is, Are there any future concerns for this eye? I know you cant see this eye for yourself but is there any information as to the long term prognosis for an eye with a flap? The flap was put there due to an injury not a disease.
I want to sell this mare now and would like to properly represent the situation to a buyer who is on the other side of the country!

I agree with the two veterinarians, if the eye has healed without complications and you have had no problems with the eye in the past year, the prognosis for a healthy eye in the foreseeable future is excellent.
