Does anyone have any personal experience or advice on the effectiveness of switching horses with COPD to the Dust and Mold Free hays available now? I am tempted but they are more expensive than regular clean field-dried hay so I will research before I experiment. Emeli |

Hello, I have now had my heavey horse on Triforage Horsehae which is a dust free, toxin free and mold free hay...WOW! He can socially graze with a buddy (it is a bit more per bale than regular hay) and there is no respiratory problems! I follow all the recommended actions for heaves but I was so sad about taking away "community winter grazing time"...So here is a perfect solution! I don't worry about hay cube choke or paddock isolation!!! Like I said, it is a bit more than regular bales of hay but for anyone who has witnessed their horse buddy having an asthma/COPD attack they will agree that it is worth every penny! |

Hi, www.triforage.com They are a Mom and Pop company in Ontario but do have some American distributors and other Canadian distributors. I have been incredibly happy with this product!!! It is just a well packaged hay done with the technology to illiminate dust and mold. You can choose the type of hay as well. I give my heavey guy Timothy/Alfalfa and Meadowmix and my Founder Pony gets only Orchard Rye Grass.
