My friend's horse has wld in his front left ....I've read the articles and they are very informative, however, her vet ...well...let's just say he's being ULTRA cautious?? He's not cutting out all the diseased tissue. Are there any new treatments being tested??

Also, she's leary about using formaldahyde (sp?) She's using betadine...is there another treatment that is just as good as formaldahyde??

Hello Aileen,
For a number of reasons we avoid trying to solve problems second hand. However I do not know any better way to treat WLD than what we outline in the article.
