I have ducks uphill from my horses and I regularly drain their swimming water, which runs into the horse pasture. Are the ducks creating a big Salmonella risk to my horses?

There is probably an increased risk but we have no real way to evaluate the amount of risk. I would estimate it to be very small. Disease causing salmonella tend to be host adapted.
