We have a 8 year old stallion who is a show horse. We got him about 5 months ago, had him tested and everything was fine, 8 mares per ejaculate. Now that show time and breeding is here there is problems. The sperms is sometimes dead and low count. I am wondering if..
1. not being collected on reg basis
2. trainer is hard on him prior and during show
3. trainer possibly kicking him!
We are looking into all of these but sure could use any help.
The horse is beautiful under saddle minds well I am new to riding and stallion and have no problems. Could he be stressed out with trainer.

Hello John,
Though stress may reduce sperm count I don't think any of these would convert a fertile stallion into an infertile one, unless the kick contacted with the testicles. Best to get the vet out and have a thorough work up done.
