Dr.O. I have a person that wants to loan me her horse with an old fm for my husband. The horse has the typical slap the ground walk, but doesn't seem in pain. Her injury happened last year (slipped on ice). Her treatment consisted of stall rest and bute.

She has a dent in her inside thigh by her butt since this happened.

Is a horse like this considered rideable and if so what kind of riding should be avoided? I don't need another pasture ornament. Thanks

Though some of these horses are used for light riding, I would not consider using it for anymore than it is currently doing and remaining sound.
