I have a 5-year-old quarter horse mare with one mildly clubbed foot (right front). The horse is sound, but this foot is odd looking beyond its clubbiness. The whiteline looks healthy, but it does not make a smooth arc around the sole. It's wavy. The distance between the whiteline and the outside of the hoofwall varies by a considerable amount -- approximately 300%.

It's not that the distance is greater at the toe than at the heel. There is no regular pattern. It's wavy! The outside of the hoofwall looks normal.

She is not stabled. She has always been barefoot, but is trimmed every two weeks. I do it myself. Does anyone know what this is? Is it a problem?

Jeff could you clean up the sole and take a picture of this. Be sure the light is good or use a flash (after getting the horse use to it!)
