To any fellow New Englanders.... We just had 600 bales of new hay delivered to our hay loft from a different Hay man than our usual person.

Last week, my boarder and myself both realized we had similar red welts on our necks, body, and elbows.
Long story short they are from HAY Mites, and our horses have been attacked as well.
Very itchy, and irritating. Our County Extension Officer is coming out to confirm, and give us recommendations.

Just wanted people to be aware of these itchy little devils are in our area right now.

Hopefully this is self limiting, and we won't be in search of more hay- uhg...
