I bought an 8yo mare, who I saw jumping at view. Had her vetted (on the day after she was brought to me) passed the vet. she caught a mild virus and was turned out for a week, and then only walked and a bit if trot. three weeks after purchase she became lame due to tendon "tweek". Is it possible that a tendon problem could have been hidden pain killers & inflamatories to the extent would not show up in physical exam.

Hello Judith,
A mild acute tendon problem might be hidden by some bute but not for 3 weeks: maybe a day or two after they were stopped but that's about it.
