I noticed a recent study with PHF and abortion.
Any other recent info?
Here in Northern CA, apparently there is an outbreak.
I just rescued a weanling from that area. He has snotty eyes and nose - seems a bit down - starving and hasn't stopped eating since Thursday morning when we brought him home. We are working hard on 'catching' him by sitting for hours and hours in his pen. I was able to worm him yesterday - I just squirted a little bit of wormer on his hay - he ate it !!! he has had no vaccinations or worming - no date of birth, but probably about 6 months old.
His stools are just fine - even with the move and new location, so I don't think I am worried about PHF - YET....but want to make sure. He won't eat grain or goodies - has to get used to it. I mixed some leaves from the hay with alfalfa pellets - no go. I am hoping his symptoms are just a sign of the conditions he came from and not an infection.
Thanks, Kathy
