I stumbled upon a discussion online regarding the man who used to own my ottb. During the discussion, I learned that a great number of this man's tbs were given the procedure called a myectomy. I am concerned that my horse was given one, based on my observations of his breathing at times. My question is whether I need to follow up with this. Possibly do a scope? I soak his grain because I have seen him cough on several occasions while eating. I have also observed him sounding a bit like a pig when munching on things on the ground.

Hello Gwen,
If the horse displays problems that concern you I would have the scope done.
