I am looking at purchasing a 6 yo, 16'3" gelding that was diagnosed with OCD per radiographs, but was never lame. He was arthroscopically repaired on both hocks 9 months ago and is still completely sound and in full work. What are your thoughts on his prognosis for a successful dressage career?

Wellcome Marie,
Obviously I cannot prognose this horse's career based on a few sentences. Perhaps what you are asking is, "what are the increased chances that the hocks might cause problems because of this past problem?" I would say that if there are no radiographic signs of DJD and the horse is sound in the work you plan to continue at the same level, there is not a lot of increased chance of problems down the road.
