Dermatologic problems are common in horses. Frequently a diagnosis can be made from an accurate history and careful physical exam. Occasionally tests may be need to be run to identify the cause of the disease. This paper consists of pertinent history questions, physical features of skin diseases, and techniques that are needed to properly diagnose skin diseases. By using proper terminology an accurate description is possible and this makes diagnosis easier.

You can cut and paste the History and Physical Exam questions into a New Discussion and we will try and help you with a diagnosis or at least a next step to take.
