I have a 15-year-old Morab mare. She has never been bred. Is it safe to breed her, or is she too old?

Dear Mary: Your mare is not to old to be bred. Being an older mare, she may have some difficulties settling, but then again she may not. I bred my Quarter Horse mare at the age of 12 and she had never been bred before, she settled and foaled without complications. Mares are bred and having foals into there 20's and doing fine. Hope this information helps. Dr. Woodworth
