Dr. O-

I received Beau's final written necropsy report yesterday. I really need your help in understanding it. I need closure, and perhaps the answers lie within.

I also have two discharge summaries that I would like you to review.

I can give you a detailed description of what occurred with Beau, a thorough time line. This, I could do on HA.

The reports however, are lengthy.

Is it possible for me to fax them to you? Or, can they be scanned to a thread? I will take the time to type them onto HA if that's the only way to do it.

I can't deal with returning to the hospital at this time to ask what this necropsy report says. This was a devastating incident for me. If there was something different we could have done or tried, I need to know that. If what happened to Beau will help someone else realize how tragic this infection can be, I want to share that (so others are aware).

I was there with him, Dr. O. I held him in my arms while he died. I need to know if I did the right thing...I know it won't bring him back, or change anything. They said he'd be a crippled pasture pet...I want to know if the report shows that kind of damage. I beg you to lend me your expertise in deciphering all the medical lingo.

The entire staff at Ohio State was wonderful to us. I am not challenging their procedures, or advice. It's too late for second opinions, I am well aware of that. I just need this explained in simpler terms.

Thank you for your time, and consideration.

I understand DJ. Scan and OCR with pasting into a post as the final step, would be my recommendation. Usually you have to spend some time on straightening out the OCR though some of the newer programs are quite remarkable. I have quit taking private attachments and faxes DJ because of the time it requires to process them without any benefit to HA as a whole.

Thanks, Dr. O.

I understand your position.

I will first do the time line. Then, I will work on the scanning. Maybe I can just summarize what I don't understand. Then again, since I don't understand it, I wouldn't want to leave anything out that you may find pertinent.

I appreciate your help, and understanding. I'd be more than happy to pay you for this consultation. It's very important to me to have this behind me.

My Best,

DJ
