We had a filly born 2 weeks preterm with flexural laxity. She was walking with her rear hocks on the ground. The toes were not tipped up. She also had an angular deformity that was not too bad in the front affecting one leg.We kept her in a large soft paddock and she is now 11 days old. She has come 1/2 way up in back. The angular deformity in front seems to be worsening and she seems to be developing an angular deformity of one of the back legs. Any ideas?

Hello Gary,
for a thorough explanation of these problems and our recommendations for treating angular limb deformities are in the article associated with this forum, just back up one level and select the article link. For flexural deformities back up two links (to Foal Diseases) and select Flexural Disease. ou can use the navigation bar at the top of the page for quick access. You also need to get a veterinarian experienced in these type problems envolved.
