I just wanted to say thanks for the information on this site regarding bowed tendons. I saw a gelding with a recent bow and while I knew it was serious, I didn't know how iffy the outcome could be until I read up on it here. He is supposed to be a great trail horse but when he goes up for sale, I won't be making an offer.
Of course if that happened to my own horse, I'd do the treatment and hope for the best.

Dr. O,

I have not been able to find what I'm looking for in regards to using Furacin on the legs. I seem to recall reading something about NOT using Furacin below the knees? I may be totally wrong . . . I was in discussion with someone yesterday about it, and I told her I would check the site to see what I could find about it. She uses a Furacin/DMSO wrap for bowed tendons . . . and has had good success with it.
Thank you,
Holly
