In the article on cloudy eyes, Dr. Oglesby notes that viral infections of the horse's eye have been better documented, however there is no information on managing these infections.

Last year my 7 y.o. Irish sporthorse was diagnosed with a virus that causes occasional flare-ups of cloudy-white spots on his cornea. I was told that stress and sunlight may contribute to these flare ups.

Does anyone have any information on dealing with this type of problem? Similar experience?

Hello Julie,
I happen to have a brand new vet opthamology text that has the first recommendations that I have seen for horses. I have placed them in the article, let us know how it works out.
