Years ago I was told that MSM as a supplement could make some horses a little "hot". Has anyone had that kind of experience using MSM as a supplement?

One stallion after being on MSM for several weeks was getting extra "frisky" acting about like a 3 yr. old. I just took it that he was feeling a lot better so could move around like he used to when younger-not that the MSM made him "hotter" per se.

I used MSM on my thoroughbred a good while ago and it did make him "hot" within a few days of using it. To test it out I stopped using it and he soon quietened down again, then I reintroduced it and it happened again. I would say it depends on the type of horse you are using it on, my thoroughbred was always a very sensitve horse.
