Would there be any indication for giving hcg 12-24 hours AFTER a mare ovulated?

None I can think of Lisa. If it was done I would like to know the reasoning.

I would also like to know the reasoning. Unfortunately the "repro vet" I used will not return my phone calls. I would also like to know why they inseminated her 12 days after she entered estrous on a 2.5 cm follicle and why she ovulated again 13 days later. Another unrelated question ... if you are palpating a mare and she happens to ovulate at that exact moment, can you feel it?

I assume you will ask when you talk with the vet. If you happen to have your fingers on the follicle at that moment you would feel it disappear as it deflated.
