I am rubbing this daily into inside of hock on hind leg for sprain to deep digital flexor tendon on instruction from vet, as my boy can sniff a grain of bute from a mile off. Am assuming it is for pain relief of sorts.

Could I use a herbal type alternative - if so what would I try? Any ideas appreciated.

Also a merry Christmas and Happy New Year for 2005 to all of you in the USA

An interesting product. I found this at www.sankyo-pharma.com
Something similar we have here is called Aspercreme but it is for human use as is the Movelat.

Good question

A very happy Holidays to All!

I don't know anything about the alternative products but have had such great luck giving medications of all kinds mixed with carrot baby food after it has been ground up in a coffee grinder by syringe then I IMMEDIATELY give a real carrot! (actually about a 1/3) My mare at present holds her mouth open like a baby bird twice a day for it. Good luck to healing your sprain!
