First, this drug is 100x better than reserpine. Better results, no diarhea, last longer.

My question is how long does this medication stay in the horse's system? I've heard it can show up in blood tests anywhere from 10-30 days...anyone know?

Note there are other possible side effects Rodney, some serious, for more on this see the article. I do not know how long it can be tested for and suspect it differs between labs and there will be some "common knowledge" among the vets at any particular track.

They don't know. It used to be 10 days, but now nobody knows because there's been positives. I just want to know if 30 days is safe.

Hi Rodney-no 30 days is not safe-this can test for 60 days and sometimes even longer .At the high level shows with very sophisticated tests fluphenazine can be picked up.
