My horse has been diagnosed with a pituitary gland tumor. My vet has suggested that we try this medication to see if it will help to lower the sugar levels, but I can't find any information on this.

my horse taks this med. for cushings syndrome
it is a human med. called Periactin (brand name)

my vet has prescribed parlodel for my mare with cushing disease, she has a very high glucose level, and cortizone level,and he says this is caused by the tumour in/around pituary gland.is this a recommended drug?she did not respond to the dex suppression test.
